Caregiver Resource Center

The Caregiver Resource Center has many services, including a support group for caregivers, a lending library, information & referral to community-based services and respite care. Any person or their caregiver, who is 60 years of age or older with one or more functional deficits in ADLs or IADLs are eligible for this program There is no charge for any services. The Caregiver Resource Center and Respite Program services are funded through a cooperative effort by the Clinton County Office for the Aging and the New York State Office for the Aging.

 

Caregiver Respite

The Respite program provides trained staff who can stay with your loved ones, giving you time to take a break to rest and rejuvenate. It is important for you to care for yourself, to maintain your mental and emotional strength to care for others. Respite is available for 2 to 4 hours per week.

Caregiver Support Groups

All support group meetings are open to anyone providing care to a friend or family member.

Caregiver Training

The Caregiver Resource Center staff and community service providers offer training on a variety of topics. If you would like to learn about a specific topic, please call the Caregiver Resource Center to see if it can be arranged. Caregivers are invited to attend at no charge.

Caregiver Support

You can receive information and support from the comfort of your own home.
