In order to run for local office, you must meet the following requirements.

• Be a citizen of the United States.
• Be 18 years of age by the day of the election in which you want to vote.
• Be a resident of the county for at least 30 days before the election if registering for the first time.
• Be on parole if convicted of a felony.

• Not be in jail for a felony conviction.
